[player]: "Whoa, where did you come from?" Female Grue: "I've been here in this cavern for quite some time now. I usually keep to myself, but I couldn't resist scaring you a little." [player]: "You definitely succeeded in that!" Female Grue: "I'm sorry if I frightened you. It's just, it gets lonely down here all by myself. I don't get many visitors." [player]: "Do you live down here?" Female Grue: "Yes, I do. It's my home. I'm a Grue, you see. We thrive in darkness and shadow." [player]: "I've heard of Grues, but I never thought I'd meet one." Female Grue: "Well, now you have. My name is Eerie. What's yours?" [player]: "I'm [player]. Nice to meet you, Eerie." Eerie: "Likewise. Say, since you're here, would you like to hear a story or two?" [player]: "Sure, I'd love to hear some stories." (Eerie told me stories of her adventures in the cavern, some of them scary, some of them funny. We talked for a long time until it was almost morning.) [player]: "It was nice talking to you, Eerie. I should probably head back to my base now." Eerie: "It was nice talking to you too, [player]. You're welcome to visit me anytime." (I said goodbye to Eerie and started to make my way out of the cavern. As I walked, I couldn't help but smile. It's not every day that you meet a Grue who just wants to chat.)
