Title: Bart's Hymn Hijinks INT. SPRINGFIELD CHURCH - DAY The Simpson family sits peacefully in the church pews, listening to Reverend Lovejoy delivering his sermon. Marge, Lisa, and Maggie sing along to a traditional hymn, while Bart suppresses a mischievous grin. EXT. CHURCH - MOMENTS LATER Bart stealthily sneaks out of the church through the side door, carrying a bag filled with unusual items. He glances back to make sure no one sees him, then heads towards the main entrance. INT. CHURCH - CONTINUOUS As the congregation continues singing, Bart quickly replaces the hymn sheets with newly printed ones from his bag. He replaces the sacred organ music with a hidden cassette tape labeled "In-Da-Gadda-La-Vida." Marge, Lisa, and Maggie unknowingly start singing along with the changed hymn. INT. MARGES' POV - CONTINUOUS Marge notices something off about the hymn lyrics. She looks around, puzzled, yet tries to maintain her composure throughout the singing. INT. CHURCH - CONTINUOUS Reverend Lovejoy raises an eyebrow, struggling to make sense of the distorted hymn. The churchgoers, lost in their own faith, continue singing without a clue. Lovejoy discreetly signals to the organ player, who's baffled by the tune change but continues playing. INT. CHURCH - LATER The mischievous smile on Bart's face grows wider as he realizes nobody has caught onto his prank yet. INT. CHURCH - CONTINUOUS Reverend Lovejoy's face reddens, filled with a mix of anger and disbelief as he finally realizes the blasphemy unfolding. LOVEJOY (angrily whispers) Bart Simpson, what has possessed you to commit such blasphemy?! You will go STRAIGHT to Hell if you keep this up! The realization dawns on Bart, his grin fading into remorse. INT. SPRINGFIELD POLICE STATION - DAY Bart sits anxiously in the police station, handcuffed to a bench. Chief Wiggum scribbles on a piece of paper, while Reverend Lovejoy, Marge, Lisa, and Maggie wait behind him. Wiggum looks up from his note, his face void of any concern. WIGGUM Alright, I've dealt with countless pranksters, but this is peculiarly unoriginal. You know better than to mess with church hymns, right? BART (regretful) Yes, Chief Wiggum. I'm really sorry. I didn't think it would go this far. Lovejoy steps forward, stern yet compassionate. LOVEJOY Bart, your actions are not a mere prank. They disrespect the faith of others. You will be held accountable for your actions and must make amends. INT. CHURCH - LATER Bart stands before the entire congregation, head hung low and microphone in hand. He takes a deep breath, ready to face the consequences. BART (repentant) I realize now that what I did was wrong and disrespectful. I apologize to everyone present here, especially Reverend Lovejoy, for mocking the sacred hymn. I've learned my lesson, and I promise to make amends. Lovejoy watches Bart with a somewhat softened expression. LOVEJOY (reassuringly) Bart, forgiveness comes from acknowledging our wrongdoings and taking responsibility. You will have a chance to redeem yourself, but remember, faith is a personal journey. EXT. SPRINGFIELD CHURCH - DAY The congregation forgives Bart, and with their compassionate smiles, he knows he has their support. FADE OUT.
