In 1983, the company announced plans to expand their product line to include computers and keyboards. Their first computer model, the ClipComputer 1k, was released in 1984. Over the next decade, the company released several computer models, including the popular ClipComputer cCom lineup in 1997. However, in the early 2000s, the company began to struggle with competition from larger technology companies and a shift towards mobile devices. In an attempt to remain relevant, ClipCalculators released their first mobile app, the ClipCalculator app, in 2010. Despite these efforts, the company continued to struggle and eventually filed for bankruptcy in 2018. However, in 2019, a new investor acquired the company and brought it back to life, releasing the ClipComputer Alpha in 2015 and the ClipComputer Omega in 2020.
