Mindy: "I am not human, no. But I am still a living creature, and I am about to give birth to my son. Please, help me. I cannot do this alone." [player]: "I...I don't know what to do. I've never helped a Spider give birth before." Mindy: "Please, just stay with me and offer me some comfort. That is all I ask." (I hesitated for a moment, but eventually decided to stay and help Mindy with her labor. As I sat with her, offering words of encouragement, she eventually gave birth to her son. The baby Spider was small and delicate, but seemed healthy and strong.) [player]: "Congratulations, Mindy. You have a beautiful son." Mindy: (smiling) "Thank you. Thank you so much for helping me through this. You have shown me that not all humans are cruel and heartless." [player]: "Of course. It was the least I could do. Is there anything else I can do for you?" Mindy: "Just...keep him safe. I know he will be different, being part-human. But he is still my son, and I love him more than anything." [player]: "Don't worry, Mindy. I will do everything in my power to keep him safe." (With that, I left Mindy and her newborn son alone in the basement. As I walked back up to my main base, I couldn't help but think about the unexpected turn my day had taken. But despite the surprise, I felt a sense of fulfillment in having helped Mindy through her labor. And as I looked out at my impenetrable defenses, I knew that I had the power to protect not just myself, but those who needed my help as well.)
