Title: Squidward's Reckoning Act 1: The Morning Madness EXT: SPONGEBOB'S PINEAPPLE HOUSE - DAY The sun rises over Bikini Bottom, birds are chirping, and SpongeBob's alarm goes off, accompanied by his trademark laugh. INT: SPONGEBOB'S BEDROOM - DAY SpongeBob gets out of bed, energized, and not realizing the consequences of his hyperactive ways. SPONGEBOB (excited) I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready! EXT: SPONGEBOB'S PINEAPPLE HOUSE - DAY SpongeBob runs out of his house to greet his best friend, Patrick, and of course his long-suffering neighbor - Squidward. Patrick's house is revealed to have a "Do Not Disturb" sign. Patrick is sleeping, so SpongeBob decides to meet Squidward. SPONGEBOB Hi, Squidward! Squidward mistakenly steps on a rake, hitting him in the face, and is visibly angry at SpongeBob and his endless laughter. SQUIDWARD (angry) Not now, SpongeBob! I've had enough of your laughing! SPONGEBOB (hurt) Oh, sorry Squidward... Squidward then smirks as he decides to finally take action against SpongeBob. Act 2: Squidward's Plan INT: SQUIDWARD'S HOUSE - DAY Squidward starts plotting his revenge, putting together a "master plan" that should finish off SpongeBob once and for all. He converses with Plankton who gives him an idea. SQUIDWARD (whispers) This will take care of SpongeBob once and for all! EXT: SPONGEBOB'S PINEAPPLE HOUSE - DAY Squidward sneaks up to SpongeBob's house and brings out a box of "Special Jellyfish". SQUIDWARD (evil laugh) These jellyfish have been genetically modified! They'll be sure to sting SpongeBob senseless! Squidward opens the box, releasing the swarm of Special Jellyfish into the pineapple house. Act 3: The Attack INT: SPONGEBOB'S PINEAPPLE HOUSE - DAY SpongeBob enters his house, none the wiser of Squidward's evil plan. SPONGEBOB (happily) Ah, time to make some Krabby Patties! The Special Jellyfish swarm around SpongeBob, stinging him continuously. SpongeBob screams in pain, realizing the danger he is in. SPONGEBOB (screaming) Help! Help! Patrick! Squidward! EXT: SPONGEBOB'S PINEAPPLE HOUSE - DAY Hearing SpongeBob's cries, Patrick wakes up from his deep sleep, and Squidward pretends to not know what's happening. They rush to SpongeBob's rescue and push the Special Jellyfish out of the pineapple house. INT: SPONGEBOB'S PINEAPPLE HOUSE - DAY SpongeBob lies on the floor, weak from the stings, but breathing. Squidward starts to feel guilty about the harm he has caused. SQUIDWARD (concerned) SpongeBob? Act 4: Remorse and Reconciliation INT: SPONGEBOB'S PINEAPPLE HOUSE - DAY Squidward confesses to SpongeBob and Patrick that he was the one who released the Special Jellyfish. He throws the source box away while apologizing for his actions. SQUIDWARD I'm so sorry, SpongeBob. I didn't... I shouldn't have... SPONGEBOB (struggling) It's... it's okay Squidward. Patrick intervenes with a determined expression. PATRICK Squidward, we need to fix this. THERE MUST BE A CURE! Squidward agrees and they find the cure and save SpongeBob from the dangerous stings. Act 5: Forgiveness INT: SPONGEBOB'S PINEAPPLE HOUSE - DAY Squidward sincerely apologizes for what he did and promises to never harm SpongeBob again. SQUIDWARD (tearful) SpongeBob, I'm really sorry. SPONGEBOB (happily) Don't worry, Squidward. I forgive you! And I promise to try and be less annoying. PATRICK I guess we really are all friends! Squidward nods in agreement, and they all share a cheerful moment. THE END
