Danny's wife Nicky is a hypnotherapist. She's hypnotized Danny so many times that he willingly and easily sinks deep into a mindless trance whenever she wants. Nicky's friend Emma knows all about this and will try to hypnotize him herself, when she gets him on his own (Nicky's away in France that weekend), figuring he must be pretty conditioned and susceptible (she's right, actually; he's so hypnotizable it's funny).
