Queen Jade: (smiling wryly) My dear, you can start by fetching me some water. I'm famished from all this digging. ([player] exits stage left to fetch water for Jade) (Jade continues to work on the chamber, pausing occasionally to catch her breath) [player]: (returning with water) Here you go. Queen Jade: (gratefully taking the water and drinking deeply) Ahh, that hits the spot. Thank you, dear. Now, we have a lot of work to do. You can help by carrying these pieces of wood over to the chamber. ([player] begins carrying the pieces of wood as Jade continues to hollow out the chamber) Queen Jade: (pausing to wipe sweat from her forehead) You know, it's not often that we have outsiders in our hive. What's your name, dear? [player]: (nervously) Oh, uh, my name is [player]. Queen Jade: (nodding thoughtfully) [player], eh? Well, [player], it's not often that I'm impressed by outsiders, but you've been quite helpful so far. Perhaps there's a future for you here in our hive. [player]: (surprised) Um, really? Queen Jade: (smiling) Oh, yes. We can always use more hands around here. But for now, let's focus on finishing this chamber. Our new queen deserves the best. ([player] nods and continues to help, with Queen Jade occasionally giving instructions and guidance. The scene ends with them still working in the hive.)
