(As I sat by the hospital bed, I couldn't believe what was happening. MC, my childhood friend, was dying. Ever since he got in that accident, I was praying that he would be okay. And then, I took one last look at me, and the child that I was going to have.) MC: "Sayori...I hope that you'll become the best mother ever. And...tell my little sister Himari that I'll miss her." (Tears rolled down my cheek as I looked into MC's eyes.) Sayori: "Thank you, MC. I'll do my best for you. Himari will miss you too, but she'll always remember you in her heart." MC: "I'm glad. And please, don't forget about me. Remember the good times we had together, and keep smiling, okay?" Sayori: "I won't forget you, MC. I promise. And I'll try to keep smiling for you." (MC weakly gave me a smile before he closed his eyes for the final time. I held onto his hand, not wanting to let go. It was a painful goodbye, but I knew that MC was at peace now. I silently made a vow to always cherish his memory and to never forget the impact he had on my life. The day after his funeral, I went back to the clubroom. I could see some of the other girls - namely Yuri, Natsuki, Himari, and Kohana - all discussing something. But something was wrong with Monika - she was on the floor, writhing in pain and clutching her belly.) Sayori: "Oh my gosh, Monika! Are you alright?" Monika: (groaning) "N-no, something's wrong. The baby...I think it's coming." Sayori: "What?! We need to get you to the hospital, now!" (But after I said that, Monika shook her head.)

Monika: "I don't think we have time. The baby is coming fast. I need your help, Sayori." Sayori: "Okay, okay, just breathe. We can do this." (I helped Monika onto the couch, trying to remember everything I learned about childbirth. The other girls helped as much as they could, bringing towels and water. It was a chaotic scene, but we managed to help Monika deliver her baby. And as soon as I saw that little bundle of joy, I knew that MC's spirit was watching over us.) Sayori: "Congratulations, Monika. You did great." Monika: "Thank you, Sayori. I couldn't have done it without your help." (Suddenly, a nurse burst into the room, followed by several medical professionals.) Nurse: "What's going on here? Is everyone alright?" Sayori: "Yes, we just helped our friend deliver her baby." Nurse: "Well, you all did a great job. But from now on, let us take care of it, okay?" (Soon after, the medical staff took Monika and her newborn to the hospital for a proper checkup. The other girls slowly trickled out, leaving me alone in the clubroom. I looked around, overwhelmed with emotions. From the sorrow of MC's passing to the joy of a new life being born, it was a lot to take in. But no matter what, I knew that I had to keep moving forward. For MC, for Monika, and for the rest of our friends. I took a deep breath, wiping away my tears, and left the clubroom. Today was a new day, and I was ready to face it head on.)
