Title: James Madison and Princeton Fade in: INT. A LIBRARY - DAY A man is sitting at a desk, reading a book. The camera zooms in to show the man's face, revealing that it's James Madison, the fourth president of the United States. JAMES MADISON: (to himself) "The Federalist Papers" is indeed an enlightening read. (pauses) I remember my days in Princeton when I first came across this book. Flashback sequence: EXT. PRINCETON UNIVERSITY - DAY (25 YEARS EARLIER) We see a young James Madison walking through the campus of Princeton University, carrying a stack of books in his arms. He enters a classroom where he's greeted by a professor. PROFESSOR: (smiling) "Good morning, Mr. Madison. What brings you here today?" JAMES MADISON: (looking eager) "I wanted to borrow some books on political philosophy. I'm particularly interested in understanding the concept of constitutional government." PROFESSOR: (nodding) "Ah, you should take a look at this. It's a manuscript written by Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and myself. We call it 'The Federalist Papers.'" JAMES MADISON: (curious) "The Federalist Papers? What's it about?" PROFESSOR: (excited) "It's a series of essays that argue in favor of the new Constitution. Hamilton, Jay, and I believe that the Constitution is the best form of government for the United States." James takes the book and starts flipping through its pages. JAMES MADISON: (impressed) "This is remarkable. I've never encountered such ideas before." PROFESSOR: (smiling) "I'm glad you find it fascinating. Read it well, Mr. Madison. It might serve you well in the future." James nods gratefully and exits the room. Flashback ends. INT. LIBRARY - DAY James Madison puts down his book and reminisces about his time in Princeton. JAMES MADISON: (smiling) "That was a long time ago. But the ideas that I encountered back then still ring true today." He picks up the book again and continues reading. Fade out. THE END.
