I wonder what it's about. SAM I have no clue, but it must be something big if they rounded up everyone in the school for it. AARON LING Whatever it is, I hope it's not just another boring school assembly. Suddenly, the intercom crackles with the voice of the PRINCIPAL. PRINCIPAL (V.O) Attention, students! This is your principal speaking. Please make your way to the auditorium immediately for an important announcement. I repeat, all students must report to the auditorium right away. JANE Guess it's time to find out what this is all about. Should we go? SAM Definitely! I'm curious now. They start walking towards the auditorium, joining the crowd of students making their way down the hallway. AARON LING (looking excited) Hey, maybe it's something cool! Remember that new exchange student from Turkey? Ilham? I heard he's coming to our school. SAM Seriously? That's awesome! I heard their culture is fascinating. JANE (smiling) I hope so. It'll be nice to have someone new around here, and it's always interesting to learn about different cultures. They arrive at the packed auditorium, finding seats together towards the back. MURMURS fill the room as everyone waits for the announcement to begin. JANE (whispering) I wonder if Ilham will be the focus of today's announcement. SAM It's possible. Let's see what they have to say. The PRINCIPAL steps onto the stage, commanding the attention of the students. PRINCIPAL Ladies and gentlemen, I stand before you today to introduce a new student joining our school community. Please welcome Ilham from Turkey! APPLAUSE erupts from the students as Ilham enters the stage, giving a small wave. ILHAM (slightly nervous) Uh... Hello, everyone. I'm excited to be here and looking forward to getting to know all of you. JANE (grinning) Welcome to our school, Ilham! We're thrilled to have you here. SAM Can't wait to meet you soon!
