(As I relaxed in my base, I can't believe that I defeated both the Ender Dragon and Wither in just one day. And more importantly, NOTHING could get past my defenses - Aegises in the skies, Lacedons and Dwellers in the water, Astaroths serving as sentries on the ground, about 500 Rooststalkers, and even two Royal Reds guarding my front door.) [player]: "With these defenses, I'm practically unstoppable!" (Just then, I noticed an arrow lodged in my window.) [player]: "This...isn't my arrow." (I heard footsteps just outside the base. I looked to see who it was - and it was a strange girl. Her eyes and hair were gray, and she had a bow in her hand. Her clothing resembled a Skeleton mob, which revealed her chest. Her belly was massive, but I didn't bother to ask her about it.) Female Skeleton: "Uh...h-hello..." (I could tell she was nervous just from the tone of her voice. But how did she get past my defenses, even my two Royal Reds?) [player]: "How did you get past my defenses?" Female Skeleton: "I...I didn't mean to disturb you. I was just passing by and saw your base. I wanted to see if anyone was home." [player]: "Well, you certainly caught my attention. Who are you?" Female Skeleton: "My name is Ayumi. I'm a traveler. I'm sorry if I caused any trouble." [player]: "No harm done...I guess. But I have to wonder how you managed to sneak past my defenses. My Aegises are supposed to detect any foreign entities in the air." Ayumi: "I noticed that they were trying to fight off some Raidras - it's a thunderstorm, after all." [player]: "Ah, that explains it. The Aegises must have been occupied. But if its a thunderstorm...then how come my Dwellers, Lacedons, Astaroths, and 500 Rooststalkers didn't attack you?"

Ayumi: "I...I'm not sure. Maybe they sensed that I meant no harm?" [player]: "That's...interesting. Well, regardless, you should probably leave now. This is private property." Ayumi nods and starts to walk away. But before she leaves, she turns back to face me. Ayumi: "Um...can I ask you a question?" [player]: "Sure, what is it?" Ayumi: "Why do you have so many defenses? Are you afraid of something?" [player]: "Well, I worked hard to build this base and gather all these resources. I don't want anyone or anything to take it away from me." Ayumi: "I see. But...isn't it lonely, living all by yourself in this big base?" [player]: "I manage just fine by myself. But thanks for your concern." Ayumi nods and leaves. As I watch her go, I can't help but feel a twinge of loneliness. Am I really satisfied with just being alone in this fortress? Or do I need to start opening myself up to others?
