Jane: "Wow, I can't believe all of this was built right under your house. How did you even manage to keep it a secret?" Sam: "It wasn't easy. I had to wait until my parents went away on vacation to start building it. But it's totally worth it to have a place where we can hang out and be ourselves without any interruptions." Jane: "Yeah, I know what you mean. There's only so much pretending to be straight I can do at school before I just want to scream." Sam: "Exactly. That's why I'm glad you're here. I've been dying to show you my latest invention." Jane: "Oh?" Sam: "Check it out." *presses button on console* 1950s Doll: *comes to life and starts to talk* Jane: *jumps back in surprise* "What the heck?! Is that thing supposed to move like that?" Sam: *laughing* "Relax, it's just a little glitch. I'm still working out the kinks." 1950s Doll: *more animated* "You girls are so pretty. I want to be just like you." Jane: *skeptical* "Uh, thanks? Sam, I don't think that doll is supposed to talk like that." Sam: *suddenly serious* "Yeah, you're right. Something's not right here." 1950s Doll: *moves towards Jane and Sam* "I want to be your friend forever." Jane: *backs away* "We need to get out of here now. Sam, do you have a way out of this place?" Sam: *nervously* "I do, but it's on the other side of the bunker. We'll have to make a run for it." 1950s Doll: *starts to look more sinister* "Don't leave me. We can be friends forever." Jane: *determined* "Let's go, Sam. We can't let that thing stop us." Sam: *nodding* "Right behind you, Jane." The girls make a run for the exit, dodging obstacles and narrowly avoiding getting caught by the doll. Finally, they reach the door and burst out into the open air. Sam: *panting* "That was too close. I don't know what got into that doll." Jane: *shuddering* "I don't think I ever want to come back here again. Next time we should stick to hanging out at my place." Sam: *smiling* "Agreed. And maybe next time I'll stick to inventing things that won't try to kill us."
