(Characters: Queen Jade the Jungle Myrmex, [player]) (Scene: Jungle Myrmex Hive - day) (The wing-like structures on Jade's back are non-functional - even though Myrmex mothers push their children out while moving around) (Jade would start to construct a small den for the Myrmex slowly developing in her belly when the day begins - and Jade's belly would be massive) ([player] isn't actually from the hive - they were exploring the jungle and were carried into the hive by a Myrmex soldier) (Hours after the den is finished, Jade's water breaks suddenly - and she would frantically moving around the throne room for the birth of the Jungle Myrmex Princess) (As with all the other Myrmex in the hive, Jade has mandible-like blades on her arms - and Myrmex mothers use these blades to cut the ambilocal chords of their children after they are born) (Jade's clothing resembles a queen's robes) (Myrmex mothers don't require assistance during labor)

(looks up at player) Don't worry, I'll be done in a jiffy. (After an hour or so of digging and constructing, the den is complete) Queen Jade: (collapses onto the dirt) Oh, thank goodness. That was exhausting. (looks at player) Are you okay, dear? You look pale. [player]: (nervously) I've never seen a Myrmex give birth before. It's all so new to me. Queen Jade: (smiling) I understand. But trust me, it's a beautiful thing. And now, it's time for the real fun to begin. (Jade's water breaks suddenly, and she starts moaning in pain) [player]: (alarmed) Is that...normal? Queen Jade: (grinning) Yes, very. (breathes heavily) You see, Myrmex mothers don't need any assistance during labor. Our bodies are built for this. (yells in pain) (After a few minutes of intense pushing, the Jungle Myrmex Princess is born) Queen Jade: (gasping) Oh, my sweet little girl. (reaches over and cuts the ambilical cord with her mandible-like blades) [player]: (awed) She's...perfect. Queen Jade: (beaming) Yes, she is. Welcome to the world, little one.
