Jane: (sitting on the bench in the park) So, Sam, did you finish that math homework? Sam: (sitting down next to Jane) Uh, no. I was too busy binge-watching that new show on Netflix. It's so addictive! Jane: (laughs) Typical Sam! Always finding a way to avoid homework. But hey, who am I to judge? I haven't started it either. Sam: (grinning) See? We're meant to be together. Jane: (smiling) Yeah, I guess we're both procrastination experts. But seriously, we should get it done before Mr. Johnson chews us out tomorrow. Sam: (groaning) Ugh, I hate his long math lectures. Can't he just stick to teaching, like, basic arithmetic? Jane: (nodding) Tell me about it. But you know what? I think I have an idea to make math a little more bearable. Sam: (raising an eyebrow) Oh really? Do tell. Jane: We could create a rap song to help us remember all those formulas. Sam: (laughs) Are you serious? A math rap? Jane: Absolutely! We'll come up with some catchy lyrics, record it on our phones, and then play it whenever we study. It's a foolproof plan. Sam: (grinning) Alright, I'm in! Anything to make math less soul-sucking. Jane: (excitedly) Great! We can even include dance moves to go with it. It'll be like our own math-themed music video. Sam: (mock gasping) Our very own Beyonce moment! I can't wait. (They both burst into laughter, feeling the excitement growing.) Jane: Alright, let's brainstorm some rhymes. What's a math formula that always trips you up? Sam: Hmm, how about the Pythagorean theorem? It's a mouthful and I always mix up the variables. Jane: Perfect! Okay, let's see... "A squared plus B squared equals C squared, that's how we find the side when everything's squared"? Yeah, that could work. Sam: (clapping) Yes! That's awesome, Jane! This is going to be the best math rap ever. (They sit side by side, phones in hand, starting to record themselves and bursting with laughter.) Jane: (smiling at Sam) Who would have thought math homework could be this fun, huh? Sam: Only you, Jane. Only you.
