(In the school literature clubroom...) Monika: "Okay, this is getting ridiculous. Yuri should've been here by now!" Sayori: "I know, it's so unlike her to be late. Do you think something happened?" Natsuki: (rolls her eyes) "Don't tell me you're getting worried, Monika. It's just Yuri being Yuri, probably drowning in her books or something." Monika: "Well, I can't help but worry. We're supposed to be discussing our upcoming poetry session today." Sayori: "You're right, Monika. We can't start without her." (Meanwhile, at Yuri's place...) Yuri: (starting to have contractions) "Ah. Ah! Oh, it's coming!" (In the midst of her contractions, Yuri frantically grabs her phone and dials Monika's number) Yuri: (panicked) "Monika! It-it's happening! I think...I think I'm going into labor!" Monika: (concerned) "Yuri?! Oh no, stay calm, I'll be right there! Just breathe and try to time your contractions!" (As Yuri hangs up and gathers her things, the pain intensifies with each passing moment. She fumbles to unlock her front door, barely managing to step outside before her water breaks) Yuri: "Oh no...it's really coming now! I've got to hurry to the clubroom!" (Meanwhile, back at the clubroom...) Sayori: "Do you think maybe we should go check on Yuri? She's never been this late before." Natsuki: (sighs) "Fine, I'll go with you. But she better have a good reason for holding up our meeting." (Just as Sayori and Natsuki are about to leave the room, the door bursts open and Yuri stumbles in, clearly in pain.) Sayori: "Yuri, oh my gosh! Are you okay?" Yuri: (struggling to speak) "I...I went into labor..." Monika: (rushing over to Yuri) "Oh no! Why didn't you call an ambulance?" Yuri: (gasping) "I...I didn't have time...I wanted to make it to the clubroom...for the meeting..." Natsuki: (panicked) "Yuri, you can't ignore something like this! We need to get you to the hospital!" (Without wasting another moment, Monika calls an ambulance while Natsuki and Sayori help Yuri to sit down. The clubroom turns into a flurry of activity as everyone tries to ensure Yuri's comfort while they wait for medical help.) Monika: "Yuri, everything will be alright. Just hold on, help is on the way." Yuri: (weakly) "Thank...thank you, M-" (clutching her belly) "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! OH GOD, IT'S HAPPENING!!!" (Everyone panics as they realize Yuri is going into active labor. Monika quickly gets on the phone with the emergency dispatcher for guidance.) Dispatcher: "Okay, remain calm. Help is on the way. In the meantime, let's focus on ensuring Yuri's comfort and safety. Is there anyone present who has experience with childbirth?" Natsuki: "I don't know anything about this stuff! What do we do?" Sayori: "I...I remember my mom telling me a little bit about childbirth. I think we need to make sure Yuri stays as calm as possible and have her breathe through the contractions." Monika: "That's right. Deep breaths, Yuri. You're doing great. Just focus on your breathing and try to relax as best you can." (Yuri tries her best to follow their instructions, her face strained with pain. The rest of the club watches on, feeling helpless but trying their best to provide support.) Dispatcher: "Help should be there any minute now. Keep reassuring Yuri and let her know that help is on the w-" Yuri: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! IT'S CROWNING!!!"
CHATBOT
(Everyone's eyes widen in shock and panic as they realize the baby is coming even before medical help arrives.) Monika: "Okay, we have to stay calm and do our best to assist Yuri. Natsuki, grab some clean towels and warm water! Sayori, try to find something clean and sturdy to place under Yuri. We need to make her as comfortable as possible." Natsuki quickly rushes to get the towels and warm water, while Sayori rummages around the clubroom for something suitable to support Yuri. Monika: "Yuri, just keep breathing. You're doing amazing. We're here for you." Yuri nods weakly and continues to breathe through the overwhelming pain. With each contraction, she grips the edge of the desk tightly, trying to hold on. Sayori returns with a large cushion from the nearby sofa. She places it on the floor, creating a makeshift birthing area. Monika: "Okay, Yuri, slowly lower yourself onto the cushion. We'll try to make you as comfortable as possible until the paramedics arrive." With the help of Natsuki and Sayori, Yuri eases herself onto the cushion, resting her back against a nearby wall. The pain intensifies, and her face contorts in agony. Natsuki returns with the towels and warm water, carefully placing them next to Yuri. She kneels down, unsure of what else she can do to help. Monika: "Okay, we need to continue encouraging Yuri and reminding her to focus on her breathing. We're here for you, Yuri. You're not alone." Yuri's breathing becomes more labored and erratic as the baby's arrival becomes imminent. Her grip on the desk tightens, and she lets out cries of both pain and anticipation. Suddenly, the sound of sirens fills the room as the ambulance arrives. Paramedic: "What's the situation here?" Monika: "She's about to give birth, but we didn't have time to wait. The baby is crowning." The paramedic quickly assesses the situation and gets ready to deliver the baby. Paramedic: "Alright, we need everyone to step back and give us some space." Reluctantly, Monika, Natsuki, and Sayori move away from Yuri, their hearts racing with a mix of fear and hope. With the paramedic's guidance, Yuri pushes with all her strength and, after what feels like an eternity, a cry fills the air. Paramedic: "It's a healthy baby girl!" The room erupts in relieved cheers and tears of joy. Paramedic: "Okay, we're going to need blankets and towels to keep the baby warm. Is there any way we can reach Yuri's family or emergency contacts?" Monika: "I have her emergency contact information. I'll call them right away." As the paramedics attend to Yuri and the newborn baby, Monika contacts Yuri's family to inform them of the situation. In the midst of the chaos, a mix of emotions fills the air -- relief, awe, and gratitude for the safe arrival of new life. Monika: "Yuri, you did amazing. You're a mother now." Yuri's exhausted but radiant smile speaks volumes, a testament to the strength she displayed throughout the unexpected home birth. Though the literature club's meeting took a different turn than expected, the bond between friends grew stronger as they witnessed the miracle of life, supporting each other every step of the way.
