Initially, Shadow is wary of his new surroundings and distrusts the furry creatures around him. However, after witnessing Neera's bravery in battle, he begins to develop feelings for her and the two gradually grow closer over time. Despite their differences in personality and origin, Shadow and Neera share a common goal of protecting their world from harm. Together, they face various challenges and enemies, including Eggman, who has also found his way into Avalice with the intent of harnessing its energy sources for his own purposes.
