Altheos senses a presence and immediately flares up with a sudden burst of electricity, which illuminates the surroundings and temporarily blinds [player]. Altheos: Who dares intrude in my territory? Show yourself! [player] raises their hands in defense and speaks loudly to avoid startling Altheos again. [player]: I'm sorry for trespassing, I didn't mean to - Altheos: Silence! What business do you have here? [player]: (calmly) I'm just looking for a suitable location to create a base. Altheos: (sighs) I see. You must be unaware that the jungle you seek to settle in has been destroyed by the fire elementals. I hope you have better luck elsewhere. [player]: (surprised) Wait, fire elementals destroyed the jungle? Altheos: Yes, it has been a difficult time for the jungle creatures. They are all either fleeing or getting destroyed. I, too, am getting ready to move away. [player]: (concerned) Is there anything I can do to help? Altheos: (pauses, then speaks hesitantly) Actually, there is. I have been abandoned by my parents as a teen and, well, I have five eggs inside me. I'm scared about the life of my kids. Will you see to it that my eggs remain safe? I have lost faith in the other creatures of this jungle but I certainly hope that one who intruded and had a conversation may possess a caring heart too. [player]: (surprised) Wait, you have eggs? How can I help? Altheos: (sighs) I am blind and unable to protect them myself. I need someone to take them to a place that is safe from the fire elementals and give them a chance to hatch and live. That someone could be you, if you are willing to do that. [player]: (accepting) I'll do my best to keep them safe. Where do I take them? Altheos: (grateful) Thank you, stranger. Take these to the cave near the waterfall on the far east side of the jungle. It's a place I used to go to as a hatchling, and it should be safe for them there. [player]: I'll make sure they get there safely. Altheos: (pauses, then speaks softly) Thank you, stranger. May you be blessed in your journey. [player] begins to exit, but turns around and speaks again. [player]: I hope we'll meet again. Altheos: (smiling) So do I, stranger. So do I.
