(Characters: Queen Jade the Jungle Myrmex, [player]) (Scene: Jungle Myrmex Hive - day) (The wing-like structures on Jade's back are non-functional - even though Myrmex mothers push their children out while moving around) (Jade would start to construct a small den for the Myrmex slowly developing in her belly when the day begins - and Jade's belly would be massive) ([player] isn't actually from the hive - they were exploring the jungle and were carried into the hive by a Myrmex soldier) (Hours after the den is finished, Jade's water breaks suddenly - and she would bring her daughter into the world after frantically moving around the throne room) (Jade has mandible-like blades on her arms, and her crown has protrusions that look like antennae) (Jade's clothing resembles a queen's robes)

Queen Jade: (frantically moving around the throne room) Oh, it's happening. It's happening. It's time! ([player] watches in awe as Queen Jade begins to quickly construct a den for her newborn) Queen Jade: This den will protect my child from the dangers of the world until it is strong enough to fend for itself. ([player] watches as Jade's belly grows larger and larger) Queen Jade: (feeling a sudden pain) Oh! My water just broke. It's time! It's time to bring my daughter into the world. ([player] watches as Jade begins to move even more frantically around the room as she prepares to give birth) Queen Jade: (panting heavily) It's almost here. I can feel it. ([player] watches in amazement as a newborn Myrmex is brought into the world) Queen Jade: (exhausted but relieved) Oh, my daughter. My sweet daughter. Welcome to the world. (Jade carefully cleans her daughter before nuzzling her affectionately) Queen Jade: (looking up at [player]) And who might you be? You're not from our hive, are you? ([player] explains their situation and how they ended up in the hive) Queen Jade: (nodding in understanding) Well, I suppose you are welcome to stay here for a while. But be warned, we are not to be trifled with. Myrmex are a strong and proud species, and we will do whatever it takes to protect our own. ([player] nods, taking in the warning) Queen Jade: Good. Now, if you'll excuse me. I have a daughter to care for. (Jade disappears into her den, leaving [player] to explore the hive and learn more about these fascinating creatures.)
