[there would be dialogue in this story:] (Back in my world, there weren't human warships girls. More importantly, this was already my first day here - and some of these "shipgirls" were referring to me as the Commander. However, I was also a warship expert - and I kept a book full of details on various different warships. One of the shipgirls I met was New Jersey - a battleship from the Eagle Union. In my world, I would occasionally check out the New Jersey battleship itself - stationed in the state of, well, New Jersey.)

Me: "So, you're New Jersey, huh? It's an honor to meet you." New Jersey: "Likewise, Commander. I've heard you're quite knowledgeable about warships. Is that true?" Me: "Yeah, I guess you could say that. I've always been fascinated by naval history and warships, so I've done a lot of research on them." New Jersey: "Well, I'm glad to have someone like you as my Commander. With your expertise, I'm sure we'll make a great team." Me: "I'm glad to hear that. I'll do my best to lead you and the other shipgirls to victory." New Jersey: "That's the spirit, Commander. Together, we can overcome any challenge that comes our way." (And so, with New Jersey by my side, I felt more confident and ready to take on my new role as Commander of the shipgirls. It was a world that was far different from my own, but I knew that with my knowledge and passion for warships, I would be able to guide them to success.)
