INT. JANE'S LIVING ROOM - DAY Jane is lying on the couch, reading a book. The room is filled with soft light, creating a cozy atmosphere. Molly-Rose Ling, a bubbly 12-year-old, bursts through the front door, followed by her older brother Aaron Ling, a laid-back 14-year-old. Molly-Rose drops her bag on the floor and plops next to Jane on the couch, excitedly bouncing up and down. MOLLY-ROSE Hey, Jane! Whatcha reading? JANE (smiling) Hey, Molly! Just a mystery novel. Want me to lend it to you? MOLLY-ROSE Nah, I'd rather read about magical creatures. Mysteries are too mysterious for me. Jane chuckles as Aaron joins them on the couch, stretching his legs out and leaning back. AARON (to Molly-Rose) Come on, sis. Dad is calling for you to set the table. MOLLY-ROSE (whining) Ugh, can't you do it? I'm in the middle of something important! JANE (nudging Molly-Rose playfully) Important like finding the best cookie recipe for Dad's birthday party? MOLLY-ROSE (to Jane) Yes! See, Jane understands me! Aaron rolls his eyes, but there's a hint of a smile on his face. AARON Alright, I'll cover for you this time. But remember, you owe me one. MOLLY-ROSE (hugging Aaron) Thanks, big bro! You're the best! Aaron ruffles Molly-Rose's hair, tousling it affectionately. AARON (smirking) Yeah, I know. Molly-Rose jumps up from the couch, giving Jane a quick wave before darting off to the dining room. JANE (teasing Aaron) So, Mr. Responsible, what's new with you today? AARON (sighing) Same old, same old. School, homework, and trying to survive Mom's cooking experiments. Both Jane and Aaron burst into laughter, their bond evident. JANE Well, at least you don't have to set the table. I suppose that's a win for you. AARON (grinning) Every little victory counts, right? They share a genuine moment of laughter and camaraderie as the scene fades out. FADE OUT.
