It's time for the birth of the next Jungle Myrmex queen. Jade starts frantically moving around the throne room. Queen Jade: Don't worry, [player]. Myrmex mothers don't require assistance during labor. It's a natural process for us. As Jade continues to move around, [player] notices the mandible-like blades on her arms. [player]: What are those blades for? Queen Jade: Myrmex mothers use them to cut the ambilocal chords of their children after they are born. We also clean our babies with our multi-purpose antennae. As Jade's contractions become stronger, [player] can see the resemblance of her clothing to that of a queen's robes. [player]: What do you name your children? Queen Jade: Every new heir is named after a gemstone - Turquoise, Topaz, Amethyst, Emerald, Lazurite, Agate, or Jade. However, since I was the first-ever hive ruler born during the emergence of the Betweenlands portal, there are only six gemstones available for naming - Turquoise, Topaz, Amethyst, Emerald, Lazurite, and Agate.
