The brace has a window in the crotch and buttocks area for hygienic purposes. Patricia uses the window to put on and remove adult diapers due to both her incontinence and for convenience, since bathroom access can be problematic with her limited mobility. At first, the brace is supposed to be worn continuously, with removal allowed only in case of emergency or for a short time period, for example, during bathing. Afterwards, the time span spent in the brace can be decreased, depending on the treatment progress.
