INT. JANE'S LIVING ROOM - DAY Jane, Sam, and Aaron are sitting on the couch, engrossed in a video game. Suddenly, Aaron's face contorts in pain. AARON Ugh, guys, I think something's wrong. My stomach feels weird. JANE (concerned) Are you okay, Aaron? SAM (worried) You don't look too good, buddy. What happened? AARON (groaning) I don't know... I had some questionable sushi for lunch today. I think I might have food poisoning. JANE (panicking) Oh no! We need to do something! Stay here, I'll go get my mom! Jane jumps up from the couch and bounds towards the door, but Sam grabs her arm, stopping her. SAM Wait, Jane! Let's not panic just yet. We can do something to help him while you call your mom. AARON (squeezing out a smile) Yeah, I'm tough, guys. I can handle it. Jane sits back down, her worry transitioning into determination. JANE You're right, Sam. We can't just sit here. We need to be there for him. Sam pulls out her smartphone and starts searching for remedies, while Jane grabs a glass of water from the nearby table. SAM Okay, here's what we can do. Avoid oily and spicy foods, drink plenty of fluids, and try to rest. Jane hands the glass of water to Aaron, who takes a few sips. AARON Thanks, Jane. You guys are the best friends anyone could have. JANE (sincerely) Of course, Aaron! We're always here for you, no matter what. SAM And hey, even if it's food poisoning, it usually passes in a day or two. Just hang in there, buddy. A small smile spreads across Aaron's face, despite the discomfort. AARON (smiling weakly) I'm lucky to have friends like you. Thanks for taking care of me, guys. Jane and Sam exchange a glance and then both maintain caring smiles. JANE That's what friends are for, Aaron. We'll stick with you until you feel better. SAM Absolutely. We're not going anywhere. They all settle back on the couch, Jane and Sam on either side of Aaron, providing support and comfort. FADE OUT.
