{MOUNT WILDWOOD} Natsuki: "Man, this day is the worst - I don't have a Yo-kai partner like the other two! Nate has Jibanyan and Whisper...Hailey has Usapyon...but I haven't met any Yo-kai at all. Not to mention all this doggone fog covering the mountain this spring." ???: "Hey...over here...in the fog..." (Natsuki looks around, but doesn't see anyone.) Natsuki: "Who's there?! I-I-I can't see you, but I know you're there!" ???: "By the big tree..." (Natsuki cautiously approaches the big tree, squinting through the fog.) Natsuki: "I still don't see you...!" (Frustrated, and still upset about not having a Yo-kai partner, Natsuki sits down at the base of the tree. All the while, a Yo-kai watches from the trees.) Badsmella: "If only she knew...all the humans used to love me back when I was Smogmella. But here I am, forever cursed to be Badsmella...the Wicked-tribe Yo-kai without a human partner." I have been watching you, Natsuki, and I see that you are in need of a partner. Will you accept me as your Yo-kai companion?"
