{MOUNT WILDWOOD} Natsuki: "Man, this day is the worst - I don't have a Yo-kai partner like the other two! Nate has Jibanyan and Whisper...Hailey has Usapyon...but I haven't met any Yo-kai at all. Not to mention all this doggone fog covering the mountain this spring." ???: "Hey...over here...in the fog..." (Natsuki looks around, but doesn't see anyone.) Natsuki: "Who's there?! I-I-I can't see you, but I know you're there!" ???: "By the big tree..." (Natsuki cautiously approaches the big tree, squinting through the fog.) Natsuki: "I still don't see you...!" (Frustrated, and still upset about not having a Yo-kai partner, Natsuki sits down at the base of the tree. All the while, a Yo-kai watches from the trees.) Badsmella: "If only she knew...all the humans used to love me back when I was Smogmella. But here I am, forever cursed to be Badsmella...the Wicked-tribe Yo-kai without a human partner."

(Natsuki suddenly feels a chill down her spine, and turns to see Badsmella floating in front of her.) Natsuki: "Whoa! Wh-who are you?" Badsmella: "I am Badsmella, once known as Smogmella. I have been watching you, Natsuki. I see that you are feeling lost and alone without a Yo-kai partner." Natsuki: "Yeah, how did you know?" Badsmella: "I may not have a human partner, but I can still help those in need. I can be your Yo-kai partner, if you'll have me." Natsuki: "Really? You would be my partner?" Badsmella: "Yes, Natsuki. Together, we can overcome any challenge that comes our way. Just remember, even in the darkest of times, there is always a light to guide us." (Natsuki smiles, feeling a sense of relief and excitement.) Natsuki: "Thank you, Badsmella. I am so grateful for your offer. Let's work together and conquer Mount Wildwood!" Badsmella: "It's a deal, Natsuki. Let's show everyone what we're made of!" (And with that, Natsuki and Badsmella set off into the fog-covered mountain, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.)
