Jane's friend and neighbor, Aaron Ling, a nerdy-looking 14 year old boy, joins them. Jane and Sam notice Aaron's new "Vegan for Life" t-shirt. JANE (pointing at the shirt) Hey, Aaron! Since when did you become vegan? AARON (smirking) Yeah, guys! I decided to go vegan a few weeks ago. It's been an eye-opening experience. SAM (with curiosity) What made you switch? AARON (waving a finger) Ah, many reasons! First, I started researching the environmental impact of animal agriculture. The stats were mind-boggling! JANE (passionate) You mean the deforestation, water pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions? Aaron nods enthusiastically. AARON Absolutely! And not to mention the whole animal rights aspect. Jane looks at Sam and then back at Aaron. SAM (smiling) Well, Aaron, it's great that you're making positive changes. We'll need your help finding some tasty vegan options for our next sleepover. AARON (raising an eyebrow) Challenge accepted, girls! I'll show you that vegan food can be just as delicious as anything else.
