Jane: Ruby, did you hear about that new show on Nickelodeon? Ruby: No, what show? Jane: It's called "The Famous Life." Ruby: Oh, I've heard of that one. Why do you bring it up? Jane: I heard that someone from our school might be on it. Ruby: Who? Jane: Well, I don't know her name, but she's around our age. Ruby: Hmm, that's interesting. I wonder who it could be. Jane: (pauses for a moment before speaking) Ruby, wait a second. You're 15, right? Ruby: Yeah, so? Jane: And you're an actress, right? Ruby: Well, yeah. You know that. Jane: But are you on "The Famous Life"? Ruby: (laughs) Jane, why are you asking me that? Jane: Just answer the question, Ruby. Are you? Ruby: (pauses and looks down before admitting) Yes, I am. Jane: What?! Ruby, why didn't you tell me? Ruby: I didn't want you to treat me differently or anything. Jane: But that's so cool! You're a child star on a Nickelodeon show! Ruby: I guess so. But it's not as glamorous as it sounds. Jane: What do you mean? Ruby: It's a lot of hard work and pressure to always be perfect and on your game. Jane: I can imagine. But still, that's amazing. I'm so proud of you, Ruby. Ruby: (smiling) Thank you, Jane. That means a lot coming from you. Jane: Do you think I could come on set with you sometime? Ruby: (laughs) I don't know if that's possible, but I'll see what I can do.
