FADE IN: INT. COUCH - DAY A group of friends are sitting on a couch, watching a college football game. FRIEND 1 Man, BYU hasn't been relevant since the 1980s. FRIEND 2 Yeah, they used to be good, but now they're just mediocre. FRIEND 3 They haven't won a conference championship since 2001. FRIEND 4 And they haven't beaten a ranked team in years. FRIEND 1 Remember when they won the national championship in 1984? FRIEND 2 That was a long time ago. They haven't even come close since then. FRIEND 3 I don't even think they've been to a major bowl game in a while. FRIEND 4 The truth is, BYU just doesn't have the same talent they used to. FRIEND 1 And the competition has gotten a lot tougher. FRIEND 2 They used to dominate the WAC, but now they struggle in the Mountain West. FRIEND 3 Even their rival, Utah, has surpassed them in recent years. FRIEND 4 It's sad to see, but BYU just isn't relevant anymore. FADE OUT.
