EBENEZER SCROOGE: (looking around) Ah, Fezziwig's warehouse. I remember this place. GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST: Yes, this was a happy time in your life. You were full of joy and kindness. BOB CRATCHIT: (offstage) Mr. Scrooge, is that you? EBENEZER SCROOGE: (surprised) Bob Cratchit? What are you doing here? BOB CRATCHIT enters, carrying a sack of toys. BOB CRATCHIT: I work here, Mr. Scrooge. I'm one of Fezziwig's employees. EBENEZER SCROOGE: (sarcastically) Oh, joy. Another employee to pay. TINY TIM: (appears behind Bob Cratchit) Hi, Mr. Scrooge! EBENEZER SCROOGE: (startled) Tiny Tim! What are you doing here? TINY TIM: I'm helping Bob with the toys. EBENEZER SCROOGE: (smiling) Well, I'll be damned. Tiny Tim, growing up to be a toy maker. GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST: (interrupting) Scrooge, don't you see the joy these people bring to your life? EBENEZER SCROOGE: (rolling his eyes) Yeah, yeah, I get it. Can we move on now? GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST and EBENEZER SCROOGE disappear, leaving BOB CRATCHIT and TINY TIM on stage. BOB CRATCHIT: (excitedly) Did you see that, Tim? Mr. Scrooge smiled! TINY TIM: (smiling) Yeah, Bob. Maybe there's hope for him yet.
