BALL ARENA - DAY The sun is shining bright on the city of Colorado as fans gather outside the Ball Arena to cheer their favorite team. CUT TO: INT. LOCKER ROOM - DAY The players are gearing up for the big game. A dark cloud hangs over them as they look at the scoreboard from the last year's playoff defeat. COACH: (addresses the players) Guys, last year's loss still stings, but today is a new day, and we are going to give it our all. Let's go out there and show them what we're made of. CUT TO: EXT. BALL ARENA - DAY The crowd is ecstatic as the game begins. The opponents take an early lead, but Colorado catches up and ties the game. However, towards the end of the third quarter, Colorado makes several mistakes and falls behind. CUT TO: INT. LOCKER ROOM - DAY The players are devastated as they process the fact that they have lost in the first round again. PLAYER 1: (shaking his head) I can't believe it. We were so close! PLAYER 2: (sighs) It's always the same story. We make it to the playoffs, and then we lose in the first round. COACH: (enters the room) I'm proud of you guys. You played your hearts out, but today wasn't our day. But we will be back next season, stronger and more determined than ever. CUT TO: EXT. BALL ARENA - DAY The fans are slowly making their way back home, disappointed and dejected. They had high hopes for their team, but once again, they find themselves out of the playoffs. FADE OUT.
