The lunchroom starts to empty out as students head towards the auditorium. JANE Alright, let's finish up and join the crowd. I don't want to miss out on anything. They quickly pack up their lunch, pick up their bags, and head to the auditorium. CUT TO: INT. SCHOOL AUDITORIUM - DAY Jane, Sam, and Aaron Ling find seats near the front, anticipating the big announcement. JANE I wonder if this new student will be someone we know, or maybe someone from a different school. SAM Who knows? It could be anyone. But one thing's for sure, I hope they're cool. AARON LING Definitely. It's always good to make new friends. Plus, it'll add more diversity to our school. Suddenly, the principal takes the stage, grabbing everyone's attention. PRINCIPAL Students, I'm delighted to introduce our newest member, Ruben! Confusion spreads throughout the auditorium as a FEMALE STUDENT walks onto the stage, smiling warmly. JANE (whispering) Wait, Ruben? But...isn't that a typically male name? SAM (whispering) It doesn't matter, Jane. People can have any name they choose. Let's give her a chance. AARON LING (whispering) You're right, Sam. Let's see what Ruben has to offer before jumping to conclusions.
