The scene opens with Benjamin Tallmadge, played by Seth Numrich, standing waist deep in a crystal clear pond. The sunlight filters through the trees, casting a golden glow on his sun-kissed skin. Ben's physique is lean and muscular, as befitting a soldier in the Continental Army. As he feels a rumble in his stomach, Ben realizes with horror that he's about to let out a fart. Knowing that the gas will kill the fish in the pond due to its rancid smell, he arches his back and releases a loud, noxious fart. The bubbles rise to the surface and a few unlucky fish float belly up, overcome by the stench. Ben grimaces but quickly recovers, reaching down to grab one of the dead fish floating nearby. He plans to cook it for dinner back at camp, knowing that every scrap of food is precious in these trying times. As he wades back to shore, Ben mutters to himself, "Damned British are gonna pay for making me resort to fish-killing farts. But a man's gotta eat, right?" He chuckles to himself, shaking his head in disbelief at the absurdity of his situation. Once on dry land, he shoulders his rifle and heads back to camp, the sun setting behind him as he carries his dinner in hand. The camera pans out, leaving Benjamin Tallmadge, patriot and spy, alone in the wilderness, his naked form illuminated by the fading light.
