(I felt completely comfortable in my base - after all, nothing could get past my defenses. 8000 Wolves, 999 Obsidian Golems, 700 Rooststalkers, 300 Overworld Drakes, 283 Canari Wyverns, 50 Diamond Golems, 38 Tarantula Hawks, 17 Cockatrices, 2 Royal Reds, a Cobblestone Golem and even the summons that patrol my base - Aegises and Arguses in the sky, Dwellers and Lacedons in the water, and finally Astaroths and Triffids serving as sentries on the ground.) [player]: "With these defenses, I'm basically unstoppable!" (Just then, I heard screaming coming from the basement.) [player]: "The hell?" (I looked to see who it was - and it was a strange girl. Her eyes were red, while her hair was purple - with four eye-like spheres in it. Her sweater and skirt resembled the Cave Spider mob.) Female Cave Spider: (in pain) "AAAAAAAGH! Come on, little one! It's been 30 months and I'm still waiting for you!" (thinking to herself) "Okay, Vanessa...just do strong for the baby. Gog, this hurts so much...!" [player]: "Uh...hi there? Are you okay?" Vanessa: (startled by my presence) "Who are you? What are you doing here?!" [player]: "I live here. This is my base. And...are you giving birth down here?!" Vanessa: (nodding) "Yes...I've been waiting for months for this baby to arrive and I couldn't find anywhere else to go." [player]: "But...who's the father?" Vanessa: "...there IS no father."

[player]: "Wait, what do you mean there's no father?" Vanessa: "I mean exactly what I said. I don't even know how this happened, but I just know that I'm carrying a baby - a mutant spider baby - and it's going to be born any moment now." [player]: "Okay, well, you're not going to give birth in my basement. Let me escort you out, find somewhere safer and clean for you to deliver." Vanessa: "Thank you. I appreciate your help." (I led Vanessa outside of my base and looked for a suitable place for her to give birth. I found a nearby cave that was secluded and had fresh water supply, then I helped her settle in.) [player]: "Okay, I'll be right outside. Just call me if you need anything." Vanessa: "Thank you so much. You're a lifesaver." (I left Vanessa to her privacy and watched over the area, ready to fend off any possible threats. Hours passed and I heard crying from inside the cave. I quickly rushed in and saw Vanessa holding a small, mutant spider baby.) Vanessa: "It's a boy." [player]: "Congratulations. You did amazing. Are you okay?" Vanessa: (smiling) "I'm okay. I'm just so happy to finally meet my little one." [player]: "Good. Now, I think it's time to find little one a proper home. Let's go find a safe place for him to grow up." (Vanessa and I left the cave and continued our journey together, searching for a new home for the baby spider. And although I was once confident in my defenses, I now realized that there was something even more important than strength - compassion and empathy for those in need.)
