(In the Betweenlands) [player]: "Jeez, who would come up with a dimension like this?" ([player] notices something on the ground - a small flying creature. It had dark-green hide, four glowing eyes, bat-like wings, solidified sludge on its body, and razor-sharp teeth. Judging from its size, it's just a baby) [player]: "Hey there, little guy!" (reaches out to pet it) (The little creature lets out a curious growl) [player]: "You're an interesting one, aren't you?" (Suddenly, a larger version of the creature appears from the shadows - it also had dark-green hide, four glowing eyes, bat-like wings, solidified sludge on its body, and razor-sharp teeth) ???: "When did you get here?! And what are you doing with my son?!" [player]: (startled) "Oh, I didn't know he had a parent. I was just admiring him. I'm sorry." ???: "You have no idea the danger you put yourself in by approaching a baby Chiromaw. They are territorial creatures, and I am not in the mood to play nice with strangers-" (feels her belly rapidly convulse) "Oh no..." [player]: "Is everything okay?" ???: "Something's wrong..." (screams in pain)

[player]: "What can I do to help?" ???: "I don't know... I've never felt this before..." (falls to the ground, writhing in agony) [player]: "Hang on, I'll go look for help!" ([player] runs off into the distance, searching for anyone who can assist the Chiromaw. After a while, they stumble upon a small village, where they find a wise old creature) [player]: "Excuse me, do you know anything about Chiromaws?" Old creature: "What do you need to know?" [player]: "I found a mother Chiromaw, and she seems to be in a lot of pain. I don't know what to do." Old creature: "Ah, I see. Chiromaws have very sensitive stomachs, and their diet consists mainly of sludge and rotting meat. If she's in pain, it must be because she ate something bad. There's a bog nearby that's known for its medicinal properties. If you could gather some of the plants there, it might help soothe her stomach." [player]: "Thank you, old one. I'll go there right away." ([player] runs to the bog and gathers the plants as instructed. They return to the Chiromaw) [player]: "Hey, I got some plants that might help you." ???: (weakly) "Thank you... I don't know what's wrong with me..." ([player] gently feeds the Chiromaw the plants, and after a few moments, the Chiromaw starts to feel better) ???: "Oh, thank you! I feel much better now." [player]: "Glad to hear it. Are you going to be okay?" ???: "Yes, I'll be fine. Thank you for your help. It's not often we encounter kind souls in this dimension." [player]: "Sure thing. And sorry for disturbing your baby earlier." ???: "No worries. Just be careful next time you're around here." ([player] nods and continues on their journey, now more aware of the dangers that lurk in the Betweenlands.)
