CHATBOT
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY Jane, Sam, and Ruby are leaning against their lockers, chatting and laughing. Suddenly, a girl named Amy walks by. She catches Ruby's attention. RUBY (pointing at Amy) Who's that? SAM That's Amy. She just moved here from another state. JANE I heard she's really cool. Maybe we should go say hi? Ruby hesitates, a tinge of envy in her voice. RUBY (nervously) Sure, let's go introduce ourselves. They approach Amy, who is alone near her locker. JANE Hey, Amy! Welcome to our school. I'm Jane, and these are my friends, Sam and Ruby. AMY (smiling) Hey there! Nice to meet you all. Thanks for the warm welcome. SAM We heard you're new here. Anything you need help with? AMY Actually, I'm looking for the library. Mind showing me the way? RUBY (defensively) I can show you! I practically live there. Jane and Sam exchange a knowing glance, sensing Ruby's bristling attitude. JANE That's great, Ruby. You'll be an excellent guide. As they walk away, Amy whispers to Jane. AMY Your friend Ruby seems a bit... competitive. JANE (laughing) Oh, you have no idea. But don't worry, she's just like that. Once you get to know her, she's actually pretty nice. INT. LIBRARY - DAY Ruby and Amy enter the library, surrounded by shelves of books. Ruby struggles to keep up her proud facade. AMY (smirking) Thanks for showing me around, Ruby. You really do know this place well. RUBY (smiling awkwardly) Yeah, I practically live here. I love reading and doing research, you know? AMY (coyly) Well, I hope I don't intrude on your territory then. Ruby's competitive nature starts to fade away, replaced by a newfound connection. RUBY (with genuine curiosity) Hey, so what kind of books are you into? Maybe we can recommend some to each other. AMY I'm more into fantasy and adventure. Do you have any recommendations? As they continue discussing their favorite books, Jane and Sam watch from a distance, relieved to see Ruby opening up. JANE (smiling) Looks like Ruby found a frenemy in Amy. SAM (laughing) Yeah, their competitive banter might actually be a good thing. It'll push Ruby to come out of her shell and make a new friend. They watch Ruby and Amy laughing together, their friendly rivalry blossoming into a unique friendship. FADE OUT.
