CHATBOT: As he sat in the car staring out the window, Oliver couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions as the familiar landscape passed by. Relief at having a second chance to right his wrongs, guilt for the pain he had caused, and dread for the difficult conversations that lay ahead. When they arrived at the Lance house, he hesitated for a moment before getting out of the car. His mother, Moira, placed a comforting hand on his arm. "Oliver, you can do this. Remember, you have the chance to make things right now." With a deep breath, he stepped out of the car and approached the front door. As he raised his hand to knock, the door suddenly swung open, revealing a shocked and angry Laurel. "Oliver? What are you doing here?" Swallowing hard, he managed to meet her gaze. "Laurel, I... I needed to see you. Can we talk?" Her expression hardened, and her voice was ice cold. "After what you did, you want to talk to me? My sister is gone because of you." Feeling his heart sink, Oliver fought back tears. "I know I can't change what I did, Laurel, but if you let me, I want to try and make it right. I know you have questions, and I want to finally give you the answers you deserve." Laurel hesitated and glanced back into the house, contemplating whether to let him in. After a tense moment, she stepped aside, allowing him to enter. As they sat down in the living room, she fixed him with a piercing stare. "So, start talking. Why did you cheat on me with Sara?" Oliver took a deep breath and began to tell her the truth about the night on the Queen's Gambit. He left no detail untouched, from his family's lucrative secrets to his father's dark deeds. He didn't try to justify his actions, only explaining the circumstances that had led him to that point. He wouldn't lie to her anymore. "And yes," he finally admitted, his voice shaky, "Sara did die that night. I'm...I'm so sorry, Laurel." Tears welled up in both their eyes as he watched her process the truth he had kept hidden for so long. "I don't know if I can ever forgive you for what you did, Oliver," she whispered, "but thank you for telling me the truth." Oliver nodded in understanding, accepting that this was only the beginning of his journey to redemption. He had a long road ahead to make things right with those he had hurt in his previous life, but he was determined to not waste the second chance he had been granted.
