Announcer: Coach, we'd love to hear your thoughts on one of the most shocking moments in college football history - when your LSU team lost to Troy. Les Miles: That game was a tough one for us. We were heavily favored, and we knew that we had to come out and play well if we wanted to win. Unfortunately, we didn't execute the way we needed to. Announcer: What do you think went wrong in that game? Les Miles: It was a combination of things. We turned the ball over too many times, and we weren't able to make the big plays when we needed to. We also struggled on defense, and Troy was able to take advantage of that. Announcer: Despite the loss, how did you motivate your team to keep fighting and come back strong in the following weeks? Les Miles: We have a saying at LSU - "next man up." We had to put the loss behind us and focus on the next game. We still had a lot to play for, and our goal was to compete for the SEC Championship and make it back to the BCS National Championship Game. Announcer: And you did just that Coach, you led your team to a win over Tennessee and then to a victory in the SEC Championship game. What was it like to achieve those goals after the disappointment of the Troy game? Les Miles: It was a great feeling. Our team showed a lot of resilience and determination, and I couldn't be prouder of the way they responded. It's a testament to the character of our players and the mentality of our program. And when we needed it most, we made a mistake that shifted the momentum. The final minutes of the game are tense. The Tigers have a chance to tie it up, but another turnover seals their fate. Troy wins, and LSU suffers an embarrassing defeat. INT. LSU FOOTBALL OFFICES - DAY Les Miles is still looking at his computer screen. He shakes his head, then picks up the phone. It was a tough game, and we didn't come out on top. Les pauses for a moment and adjusts his cap before continuing. LES MILES: We made some mistakes in the game that we shouldn't have made. Les steps away from the podium and walks out of the press conference room, his head held high. He knows that the loss to Troy was a setback, but he's confident that his team will come back stronger. He's ready to get back to work and prepare for the next game. Fade out.
