She quickly rallied her friends together and they prepared to face whatever lay on the other side of the portal. As they stepped through, they found themselves in a twisted version of their own world, one that was dark and full of shadows. Sonic appeared before them, but he was not the friendly blue hedgehog they knew him to be. Gone was his happy-go-lucky demeanor, and instead, he had a maniacal look in his eyes. Without warning, he attacked Lilac and her friends, forcing them to fight for their lives. Lilac was taken aback by Sonic's sudden hostility, but she knew that she had to protect her friends at all costs. Together, they battled against Sonic, but he was too strong, too fast, and too unpredictable. Just as it seemed like all hope was lost, Freedom Planet hero Sash Lilac found a momentary opening in Sonic's defenses and used it to trap him in a powerful energy field. With Sonic temporarily contained, Lilac's friends rushed in to help her finish him off. It was a hard-fought battle, but they emerged victorious in the end. As the group gathered their breath and took stock of what had just happened, they wondered what else was waiting for them in this twisted version of their world. But deep down, they knew that they could face anything as long as they stood together.

As they stood victorious, the dark world around them began to fade, revealing the familiar kingdom of Shang Tu once more. Lilac and her friends heaved a sigh of relief, grateful that they had survived the ordeal. As they prepared to return home, Lilac couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that they had defeated Sonic for now, but she couldn't shake the feeling that he would return, stronger and more dangerous than ever before. But for now, they could rest easy, knowing that they had done their part to protect the world they loved.
