Caroline, now sitting on the edge of her bed, struggles to put her fashionable SHIRT and COAT over her hospital gown. She opens her laptop and prepares for a video call. Britt and Colette exchange giggles and amused remarks. Caroline glares at them as she desperately applies MAKEUP, clearly struggling to balance herself and hold back her emotions. CAROLINE (politely passive-aggressive) Ladies, can you, uh... not? COLETTE (smiling playfully) Oh, I'm sorry, did my accident distract you from yours? Caroline rolls her eyes, trying to focus on her call. Then, Colette--maybe to the annoyance of Britt--nimbly slides herself into the wheelchair Caroline left near the door. She wheels herself to Caroline's bed just as a stack of PAPERS goes flying across the floor. BRITT (laughing) Incredible! I would've thought you'd have flying papers under control by now, especially being a press secretary. COLETTE (grinning) Does the superheroine press secretary need my assistance? Caroline, flustered, tries to snatch the papers back from Colette, who's still smiling as she reaches down to help pick them up. CAROLINE (frantic) No! Just-just leave it! I can handle it! But Colette's curiosity gets the better of her. She maneuvers even closer to Caroline's bed, causing Caroline to miss a couple of papers as she snatches the others.
