Ognieslawa, the original reason of the whole chase, seemingly finds trouble everywhere she goes and has to constantly run and hide. A surrealist TV fever dream that wouldn't know the meaning of 'sense' if it smacked it in the face with a wet fish, this show left me baffled and exhausted, only to realize I've wasted precious hours of my life that I can never get back. These characters are as forgettable as they are bizarre, with incoherent motivations and zero chemistry between them. If there even is one, it's buried beneath the sheer mess of what I can only describe as a dumpster fire of nonsensical anarchy. Whatever semblance of a storyline exists is only there to loosely connect vignettes of bizarrely strange societies with the consistency of mashed potato. And let's talk about those "sociopolitical formations," shall we? Each settlement the characters visit is even more far-fetched than the last, like a half-awake hallucination caused by eating too much blue cheese before bed. It's like the creators' approach to adding depth to their world was throwing darts blindfolded at a wall full of crazy ideas, and the end result was a mishmash of implausibilities that are incredibly off-putting. Even the show's die-hard defenders (who presumably just enjoy odd chaos for the sake of chaos) would be hard-pressed to argue the visuals are anything better than an eyesore. The set and costume design look to have been left over from a high school production of the weirdest play ever put to paper, like an off-Broadway take on a fever dream. The CGI fares no better, about as convincing as if this show were a project put together by a student animator trying to create a clip for their resume. The humor, despite the show being described as "hilarious" by some, is desperately lacking. The attempts to be funny often come across as if the jokes came straight out of a dad's collection of terrible puns.
