Brian suggests they look into experimental surgery that could potentially restore Meg's senses, but the cost is astronomical. Desperate, Peter decides to take matters into his own hands and sets out to find a cheaper alternative. After some digging, Peter discovers a doctor who claims he can perform the surgery for only 1 dollar. Skeptical but hopeful, the family agrees to go through with it, knowing it's their only chance to bring Meg back to normal. The surgery is a success, and to everyone's relief, Meg wakes up with her vision, hearing, speech, and mobility restored. The family is overjoyed to have their daughter back, and they all reflect on the importance of appreciating what they have and not taking anything for granted. Meg, realizing how lucky she is to have her family's support, thanks them for never giving up on her. As the episode comes to a close, the Griffins are gathered around the dinner table once again, this time with Meg fully recovered and grateful for the miracle that brought her back to them.
