The next day, Velma says that the best place to look for clues is underwater. They gather scuba gear and headed out to sea. A short while, they swam into Red Herring, also in scuba gear, coming out of the clam, gets tied around a fishing line and reeled up to the surface by a Beach Vendor on a boat. They find an underwater cave and the Headless Skateboarder shows up and an underwater chase begins. They lose the monster and find the missing dolphins and Skipper in the cave.
