CHATBOT: INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - DAY Frank Martin (JASON STATHAM) stands across from the sinister Kingpin (ULRICH THOMSEN) who has kidnapped Lai (SHU QI), a mysterious woman who Frank has found himself getting emotionally involved with. Lai is tied to a chair, her face bruised, and an evil-looking henchman named Smith (JASON FLEMYNG) holds a knife to her throat. KINGPIN Good of you to join us, Mr. Martin. The package you were supposed to deliver was worth quite a lot to me. And you know what they say, expendable drivers get in the way of good business. FRANK (steely) Let her go, and I'll give it back. KINGPIN (smiling) I think not. Smith drags Lai with the knife still at her throat, into a black Mercedes parked nearby. FRANK (predicament) Kingpin smirks and climbs into a separate sports car, and his henchmen jump into their vehicles. Suddenly they all peel out of the warehouse, with Lai trapped in the Mercedes. FRANK (CONT'D) (angry) Dammit! Frank sprints to his black Audi parked outside the entrance. INT. BLACK AUDI - CONTINUOUS Frank fires up the ignition and burns rubber, tearing after the convoy of criminal vehicles. EXT. CITY STREET - CONTINUOUS The chase merges onto a busy city freeway. The black Mercedes weaves through traffic with the other henchmen vehicles doing their best to block Frank from getting closer. Tension rises as Frank maneuvers through traffic, narrowly avoiding dangerous collisions. INT./EXT. BLACK AUDI - CONTINUOUS Desperate to save Lai, Frank matches the speed of the black Mercedes and gains an advantage in the high-speed pursuit. He strategically positions his car next to a henchmen's vehicle and kicks open his car door, slamming it repeatedly into the henchmen's car. The henchmen's vehicle swerves and Clark (a henchman) climbs out onto the hood of the car, aiming his gun at Frank. With great precision and speed, Frank slams on the brakes just as Clark pulls the trigger, sending him flying into the car behind. Clark's car swerves and crashes into the guardrail, taking out another henchman vehicle. FRANK (V.O.) Two down. Frank speeds ahead in pursuit of the Mercedes, only to be cut off by another henchmen car, now shooting at him. Frank hastily swerves behind a truck, narrowly avoiding the line of fire. EXT. CITY STREET - CONTINUOUS Thinking on his feet, Frank takes the off-ramp, hoping to come up on the side of the Mercedes. INT.
