As the Institute HQ came under attack from an unknown force, Kanae found herself lying, disoriented, on the damp floor of her cell, her ears ringing from a series of deafening explosions. Sirens blaring and chaos reigning, she realized that the door had been ripped open during the attack, and she saw the tiny shard of hope that it presented. With determination fueled by her desire for freedom and revenge, Kanae used her newly revealed diclonius powers, her vectors, to cut through the red tape of the facility and the continued chaos.
