"That's a shame," Ada pouted, now standing directly in front of him. "I was hoping to have a little fun with you." Before Leon could react, Ada's hand shot out and grabbed his wrist. She twisted it behind his back and pushed him against the wall, her other hand holding the vial dangerously close to his face. "You can play hard to get all you want, Leon. But I know deep down you want this just as much as I do," Ada whispered in his ear. "I won't let you win," Leon gritted his teeth, struggling to break free from her grasp. "Oh, I wouldn't be so sure about that," Ada chuckled, suddenly releasing him and jumping back several feet. Leon took advantage of the distance between them and aimed his gun at Ada. But before he could pull the trigger, Ada pulled out a small black device and pressed a button on it. A blinding light flashed from the device, temporarily blinding Leon. When he regained his vision, Ada was gone. "Damn it," Leon cursed, putting away his gun. He knew he couldn't let Ada get the virus, so he continued deeper into the lab, following her trail. It wasn't long before he caught up to her again, this time in an open room filled with lab equipment and strange machinery. "Ada, give it up. You're not getting that virus," Leon said firmly, ready to fight if necessary. "But Leon, I thought you liked it when I played hard to get," Ada teased with a smirk...

I gulp and think fast, trying to keep my voice steady as I begin to weave the wildest story I can come up with. I make up a hidden safe, a false wall, a complicated series of codes and switches - anything to buy time and make her doubt herself. Minx listens intently, her face impassive as I speak. When I finish, she narrows her eyes, still gripping my throat. "Fine. We'll check this 'hidden safe' of yours. But if you're lying, you're going to regret it." She reaches down and unties my legs, then swiftly binds them back together to allow me to walk. Minx clambers off of me and I gulp, praying she didn't notice the trembling in my voice when I spun my tale. "But don't worry, I'll make it quick and painless for you." Christian knew that he was as good as dead, but he couldn't help admiring Selina's beauty and her skill as an assassin. Maybe in another life, they could have been something more than just enemies. But for now, all he could do was wait for his inevitable demise.
