It is a Symbiotic Demon, a union of human and demon. both were trying to escape prosecution. the human needed the power to escape and survive, the demon needed the cover - to hide inside a human to avoid masters he escaped from. when they finally succeeded the human found infinite time ahead (immortality thanks to demon) he decided to work on his hobby - magic items crafting and uses demonic magic powers to assist him. it was so rewarding that he spent hundreds of years perfecting the skill living on the fringe of human societies in caves and forest cabins. the symbiosis is strong by that point to the point they nearly melded. no internal conflicts, no unresolved issues, ideal symbiosis. two forms - one to hide among humans, another to use demonic powers better for craft or battle. by the point main hero meets this character demon master caught up with him and he works for them for few decades on a special project which puts them into conflict. comments/criticisms/suggestions? we talking about the character, don't write a story about him
