The crew was a motley assortment of individuals who, rumor had it, were picked not for their seafaring skills but for winning a dubious imperial lottery titled "Survive If You Can: Forbidden City Edition." The captain, Captain Zhong, who claimed to have navigated more waters than the number of noodles in a bowl of Lanzhou beef noodles, was as directionally challenged as a compass in a magnet factory. One day, as the fleet sailed the South China Sea, the Among Ming mysteriously separated (yet again) from the rest. Panic ensued among the crew, but Captain Zhong had a brilliant (or so he thought) idea. "Comrades," he announced, "we shall play a game to determine our new navigator, for clearly, we need one. This game shall be called 'Among Ming: Find the Impostor.'" The task was simple: by the end of the day, the crew had to identify the impostor among them -- a self-professed geography master who, in reality, thought the Silk Road was an actual silk road and the Great Wall a mere garden fence. The day was filled with accusations more wild than a soap opera revelation. Wang the Cook, who couldn't even locate the kitchen, was suspected because he once claimed he could "taste" the direction in which they were sailing. Li the Scribe, who'd written more tall tales than actual reports, argued the stars told him he was the next great navigator, raising more than a few eyebrows. Then there was Xiao He, the quiet cabin boy who suspiciously knew how to navigate by reading cloud shapes but got lost between his bunk and the galley. As dusk fell, the crew gathered to vote, tensions high. Accusations flew like arrows in a battle reenactment gone wrong. Finally, the votes were cast, and surprisingly, the majority voted for Captain Zhong himself, convinced his terrible sense of direction was a clever ruse to conceal his true identity as the impostor. Defeated, Captain Zhong admitted, "Alright, you got me. My real talent lies not in navigation but in organizing royal dragon boat races. However, fear...
