This was Nightwing, the former Boy Wonder, now a hero in his own right. His keen eyes constantly scanned his surroundings, vigilant for any signs of crime or trouble. It was a typical patrol night for him until something...unusual caught his attention. Reports had been coming in through the Bat-Family's network about a peculiar sighting in Gotham. Described as a "pink floof" by eyewitnesses, the descriptions varied from adorable to downright bizarre. Nightwing had initially brushed it off as a joke or perhaps a misguided fan of some new pop culture phenomenon. That is until he saw it for himself. Perched on a rooftop, he squinted into the distance, not quite believing his eyes. There, bouncing along a dimly-lit street with the carefree joy of a child at play, was what could only be described as a round, pink ball of fluff. It had wide, sparkling eyes that seemed too big for its body, stubby little arms, and simple, nubby feet. It was like something straight out of a child's imaginative drawing, and yet, there it was, in flesh and, apparently, fluff. Curiosity piqued, Nightwing decided to investigate. He moved silently from rooftop to rooftop, keeping an eye on the pink creature. "Hi!" it exclaimed in a voice that was surprisingly deep for such a small, fluffy being. "I'm Kirby! Who are you?" Nightwing was taken aback. "I'm Nightwing," he replied cautiously, unsure of how to proceed. "Kirby, what are you doing here in Gotham? This city isn't exactly...friendly." Kirby's expression turned thoughtful, an amusing contrast to his simplistic and cheerful appearance. "Well, I was exploring and ended up here! This place is so different from Dream Land.
