Candice wore golden aviator glasses, a hot pink cardigan, with the strap of a lavishly appointed Gucci bag perched on her shoulder. He could see Candice sauntering arrogantly away like a diva. At lunchtime, Joe visited the cafeteria, holding his chessboard. Along with highly overpriced beverages, Joe saw Candice seated by a neighboring table. Seeing her, he walked over.
