USER: Note: This is fictional Forumey commented on 24 December 2023 at 21:00pm So, Since Sony has bought them back from Narrative, Pop is set to undergo a slew of changes They are retooling Toonattik to make it how it was for much of its original CITV run, with crazy challenges, plenty of pies and they are even taking the "Guess the Character" thing Swipe It has going on, Joe Tasker is leaving, so Swipe It is merging with Toonattik It also seems Pop are renovating, bringing back their logo and presentation from 2010, They are also radically changing their programming, Say goodbye to Alvin & the Chipmunks, Squish, Miraculous, Sadie Sparks and Kung Fu Wa/Sock, as The Hollow, Totally Doctor Who, American Dragon: Jake Long and Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go will be taking their place. Also Pokemon and Tootuff/Titeuf is staying put, Also, GoGoRiki/KikoRiki is finally coming back, It seems the changes are due to happen in the new year, So Pop are going to premiere loads of new shows, as well as 1 old show returning, Personally i would have preferred if the Smurfs or Oggy & the Cockroaches returned but I think GoGoRiki is a underrated gem, and very cute. Hopefully Totally catch up with the current Doctor in Doctor Who, and go over Matt, Capaldi and Jodie. They are also reopening their PopPower.com online games portal, Pop are also bringing back their MoonGoons mascots, Remember those colorful animal-like aliens that had their own games, Well they are back. 2024 is looking to be a a...
CHATBOT: Username: SwipeItVeteran Posted on 30 December 2023 at 05:50pm End of an era, folks. The Passionate Potato, our grumbling spud from Swipe It, is officially retiring. With the show merging into Toonattik and the mascot roles shifting back to the MoonGoons, his spotlights have been getting dimmer each week. He always did have a knack for comedic complaining, a subtle charm amidst the chaos. But it's time to say goodbye as Pop moves into a different direction. Will miss that cranky tater - he added a quirky edge to the channel's persona during the 2022 era. Username: GrumpyTaterFan Posted on 30 December 2023 at 06:20pm Unbelievable! The Passionate Potato was hilarious. Even my parents got a kick out him. It's a shame that as Swipe It concludes and the channel evolves, we're losing such an iconic character. But I can't deny that the MoonGoons bring a completely different energy. It's like the channel's phasing from snarky satire to a more playful, family-friendly vibe. Let's hold onto the memories of our favorite animated spud! Username: NostalgiaNerd Posted on 30 December 2023 at 07:10pm It's always tough seeing a beloved character go. The Passionate Potato had that rare gift of connecting with both kids and adults, and he really did embody the Swipe It spirit. I've noticed the shift in his screen time too, it's been more of a gentle phase-out, which I think was smart of Pop. It allowed everyone to gradually get used to the idea. Still, hats off to one of the most amusing mascots we've had in recent years. Username: ChannelChatter Posted on 30 December 2023 at 07:45pm We'll pour out some soil for you, Passionate Potato! It's hard not to feel a little misty-eyed. He was such a fixture during the Swipe It days--always there with his grumpy remarks that somehow never failed to make us laugh. The channel's transformation means saying goodbye to some, but hopefully, it'll also mean hello to new faces (or old ones like the MoonGoons) that can create just as many smiles. Maybe we'll see our favorite spud in a guest appearance in the future? A fan can dream! Username: ToonattikFan Posted on 30 December 2023 at 08:20pm The Passionate Potato leaving does pull at my heartstrings. Ironically, his moaning and groaning about every little thing was a bright spot in Swipe It. But change is the nature of television. With Toonattik absorbing Swipe It, it's clear they're going for that high-energy, slapstick fun that the old mascots embodied. And though the potato's shtick was ...
USER: Write a follow up where the final Swipe It airs, ans it ends with Joe giving the keys to his house (and especially his attic) to Jamie
CHATBOT: Username: SwipeItFarewell Posted on 31 December 2023 at 10:00am So the last episode of Swipe It just aired this morning, and I have to say, it was quite the finale. The show was packed with highlights from past episodes, callbacks to the funniest moments, and heartfelt goodbyes from the crew. But the most touching part? Joe Tasker, in a symbolic gesture full of emotion, handed over a set of keys to Jamie during the show's heartfelt conclusion. The keys were not just to his house but specifically to his iconic attic, the space filled with so much fun and laughter over the years. As he passed them over, he said, "Keep the adventures going, Jamie. The attic is all yours now," sealing it with that Tasker charm we've all come to love. It really feels like an end of one chapter and the start of a new one. The merging of Swipe It and Toonattik is now complete. Username: ToonTransition Posted on 31 December 2023 at 10:30am I caught every second of it! It was the fitting send-off that Swipe It deserved. Joe Tasker stepping down and offering "the keys to the attic" to Jamie signifies a passing of the torch that's heavy with meaning. It acknowledges the legacy of Swipe It while setting up the stage for Toonattik's new era. There was a knowingness in Joe's smile--a mix of nostalgia and hope for what the Toonattik revival could represent for Pop. Username: AtTheAtticsDoor Posted on 31 December 2023 at 11:00am Absolutely heartwarming! The grand finale of Swipe It perfectly captured the essence of transitions and new beginnings. Joe's final moments on-screen, holding those keys and then passing them to Jamie, were genuine and poignant. It's like saying, "The magic will continue, just under a different roof." I can tell that Toonattik has some big shoes to fill, but I feel like it's up for the task. Here's to new memories in the attic! Username: ChannelSurfer Posted on 31 December 2023 at 12:15pm As the attic door closes on Swipe It, it swings open for the dawn of reinvigorated Toonattik antics. Joe Tasker with his mix of wacky humor and sincerity was a perfect choice for the transition. That key exchange could not have been more perfectly orchestrated to convey both an end and an exciting continuation of the legacy. Jamie's got a proven track record, so we're in for a treat with whatever comes out of that attic now. I'm ready for the pies, the games, and the uncontrollable laughter!
